High-Performance Sediment Filters for Precise, Reliable Liquid Filtration
Melt Blown Filters
Melt Blown Filters are highly efficient, depth-type filters made from 100% polypropylene microfibers. They are manufactured using a high-speed melt-blown process that forms a gradient structure—coarser on the outside and finer toward the center. This layered design allows Melt Blown Filters to effectively capture and retain a wide range of particle sizes throughout the filter’s depth.
Engineered for performance and consistency, Melt Blown Filters are ideal for applications that demand high dirt-holding capacity, chemical resistance, and cost-effective filtration. Whether used in pre-filtration for RO systems or in industrial processes, these filters deliver reliable, long-lasting performance.

What Are Melt Blown Filters?
Melt Blown Filters are disposable depth filters made from fine polypropylene fibers that are “blown” and bonded together using heat, without adhesives or binders. This process creates a self-supporting, multi-layered matrix of fibers with a graded density, which efficiently traps particles as the liquid flows from the outer surface to the inner core.
These filters are widely used to remove sediment, rust, scale, and other suspended solids from water and various process fluids. Their all-polypropylene construction makes them chemically inert and compatible with a wide range of fluids, making them suitable for use in industries like water treatment, food processing, pharmaceuticals, and more.
How Do Melt Blown Filters Work?
Melt Blown Filters work through a depth filtration mechanism. When liquid enters the filter, it passes through progressively finer layers of polypropylene fibers. Larger particles are trapped in the outer layers, while finer contaminants are captured deeper inside.
This gradient density structure gives Melt Blown Filters a high dirt-holding capacity and prevents quick clogging, which helps maintain a stable flow rate and extend filter life. The absence of binders or adhesives also ensures that the filter media remains pure and does not leach contaminants into the fluid.
In summary, Melt Blown Filters offer:
Consistent filtration performance
High flow rates with low pressure drop
Excellent compatibility with a wide range of fluids
Reliable particle retention across a wide range of micron ratings
Key Benefits of Melt Blown Filters
Graded Density Structure – Traps large particles on the outside and fine particles deeper inside, extending filter life and improving efficiency.
100% Pure Polypropylene – Free from binders or adhesives; safe for food, beverage, and pharmaceutical use.
Wide Chemical Compatibility – Works well with acids, alkalis, and solvents across multiple industries.
Low Pressure Drop – Allows high flow rates with minimal resistance, saving energy and maintaining performance.
Consistent Micron Ratings – Offers precise particle removal from 1 to 100 microns for reliable results.
Cost-Effective & Disposable – Easy to install and replace, reducing maintenance time and system downtime.
Applications of Melt Blown Filters
Melt Blown Filters are used in a wide range of applications where clean, particle-free fluid is critical. Some common uses include:
Water Treatment (RO, DM & ETP/STP Plants)
Pre-filtration in reverse osmosis systems, demineralization plants, and wastewater treatment processes. Protects membranes and other downstream equipment from clogging and damage.
Pharmaceutical & Biotech
Used for filtration of water for injection (WFI), buffer solutions, and general process water. The filters help ensure a high level of purity and consistency.
Food & Beverage Industry
Ideal for filtering water, edible oils, juices, syrups, and other food-grade liquids. Available in FDA-compliant versions.
Chemical Processing
Suitable for filtering acids, alkalis, solvents, and specialty chemicals. Their all-polypropylene construction ensures chemical resistance.
Paints, Inks & Coatings
Removes pigments, particulates, and undissolved solids that can affect finish and consistency. Ensures smooth, clog-free application and packaging.
Electronics & Plating
Used in semiconductor, electronics, and electroplating processes to remove fine particulates that can damage sensitive equipment or affect product quality.
